Leto Capital

Leto Capital is the new name of the business ecosystem comprising Leto Asset Management Ltda. (formerly JGP Gestão de Crédito Ltda.), Leto Financial Advisory Ltda. (formerly JGP Financial Advisory Ltda.) and IDEX Analytics Ltda.

The change marks a new chapter in this story, which began in 2014, when Alexandre Muller took over the leadership of JGP Gestão de Crédito. We believe the capital markets play a fundamental role in driving real transformations in the economy.

Our History

Leto (/ˈletu/) is born with a history of more than 12 years. In 2014, Alexandre Muller, controlling partner and CIO of Leto, took over the investment directorship of JGP Gestão de Crédito, a manager then under common corporate control with JGP Gestão de Recursos

  1. Alexandre Muller begins his career as a credit analyst at Icatu-Hartford, taking part in the launch of one of Brazil's first credit funds

  2. Muller builds out the credit desk at UBS Pactual (later BTG Pactual), becoming a partner in 2011

  3. Alexandre Muller becomes a partner and takes the helm of JGP Crédito, with R$36 million in seed money

  4. JGP Crédito launches its first credit fund while building its team, processes and strategies

    2015

  5. Starts the year with R$3.3 billion under management. The pandemic hits and the firm diversifies its strategies

  6. A partnership agreement with L6 Capital creates JGP Financial Advisory

  7. Becomes a vertically integrated credit ecosystem. AuM reaches R$11.7 billion

  8. In December, IDEX Analytics — the indices and market-intelligence unit — is spun off as an independent company

  9. Executive partners take full control and Leto Capital is born. AuM of R$22 billion
